Welcome To Play hays!
Who We Are
Meet Mindy and Braiden Werth, the passionate husband-and-wife team behind Play Hays. After becoming a mother, Mindy was inspired to create a place where children could explore their imaginations and families could connect and grow together. As an instructor at Fort Hays State University, she brings her love of education and dedication to local families to the heart of Play Hays. Braiden, owner of Werth Eye Group, contributes business leadership and a shared commitment to strengthening the Hays community.

We’re excited to share a first look at the refreshed exterior vision for Play Hays’ future home at 2706 Vine Street. Designed by Define Design & Remodel to be bright, welcoming, and playful, the new look reflects the creativity and sense of community found inside. A special thank you to Josh Kuntz for his partnership, patience, and support in bringing this vision to life.
When families enter Play Hays, they’re welcomed by our friendly puzzle-piece greeter—perfect for a quick hello and a fun photo. Guests are then greeted at the front desk for check-in before removing their shoes and placing them in cubbies. It’s a warm, simple welcome that sets the tone for imaginative play in a space made just for kids.
Tasty Tracks is a playful, family-friendly snack and drink stop located inside Play Hays, designed to keep kids energized and caregivers comfortable while they explore. More than just a concession area, Tasty Tracks is part of the experience—offering a fun place to refuel, recharge, and connect without stepping away from the action. By bringing food, rest, and community together in one inviting space, Tasty Tracks helps families stay longer, play more, and enjoy everything Play Hays has to offer.
This is just the start of something amazing! We can’t wait to show you everything we have planned. Follow along on social media and check this page for the latest news, updates, and sneak peeks.
